This is an opportunity to contribute to all areas of the business with deep knowledge and expertise in mechanical engineering, but more specifically the tools and processes involved in design of complex mechanical products. The ideal candidate will intimately understand the problem we are solving because they have lived it and see the opportunity we have before us. This may be an ideal opportunity if you understand the pain and frustration of doing design reviews using disconnected tools that were not made for the process and know the value of solving this problem. Your understanding and authenticity will translate to credibility in our market and will ripple through all content and customer facing materials to help us grow our customer base.

Day to day, your technical expertise will contribute to marketing collateral, the sales process, implementation with customers, key product & integration decisions, and knowledge sharing with the entire team. This is a hands-on role where you will be helping to solve hard engineering problems with a team driven to succeed, while rooted in the values of kindness and respect. Over time this position will grow into a more strategic role, but it is important to want to be on the ground producing content, having sales conversations with prospective clients, and educating the market and team from the beginning. The position will be challenging, but the impact for the company and the successful candidate will be immense and rewarding.

Required Skills


  • Provide deep domain expertise during pre and post sale to establish credibility with leads and customers while creating solutions that solve their problems.
  • Source, engage and convert leads to customers.
  • Deliver detailed demos to all levels of stakeholders within a company focused on problems and values.
  • Create solution, change management and implementation plans for customers.
  • Develop content alongside the marketing and sales team for attracting new leads and converting leads in the funnel.
  • Manage key customer relationships and provide technical decision making support when required.
  • Influence the direction of the product roadmap with customer feedback and industry experience.


  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer or previous experience with CAD/PLM solutions.
  • Deep expertise with at least one CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, NX or CATIA) and PDM/PLM (SolidWorks PDM, 3DX, Teamcenter or Windchill) system with intimate knowledge of how the tools work at an implementation level.
  • Previous experience working in a technical sales / customer success role in selling complex software to engineering teams.
  • Ability to convey complex technical information in an easily understandable way for various audiences.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
  • Enjoys working with and motivating others to solve complex problems.
  • Natural relationship builder with leadership experience coaching and mentoring others.
  • Passionate about providing better solutions to engineers to solve their problems.
  • Previous experience working at a growing startup would be an asset.
  • Previous experience selling SaaS solutions to enterprise would be an asset.
