We have two open positions for the Sales Specialist role, and we will be looking to these awesome individuals to shape how we do sales at CoLab. The role will initially be dynamic and span the entire sales lifecycle - but as we grow, there will be an opportunity to focus on the sales role that you are most passionate about.


  • Represent CoLab externally to potential customers during sales calls, demos and evaluations.
  • Deliver demos and content to leads and move them along the funnel to closure.
  • Find and nurture new leads.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the CoLab Platform.
  • Work with the existing sales team to develop databases targeting key markets and verticals. 
  • Place outbound calls and send emails to uncover opportunities with prospective companies. 
  • Document all activities related to leads using Hubspot CRM. 
  • Interact with clients and prospects to understand their business requirements and/or issues. 
  • Manage follow-up and conversations to sales opportunities. 
  • Building long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external contacts and internal departments to create a better customer experience.
  • Communicate issues relevant to sales processes to management.
  • Handling complaints and negotiations.

Required Skills

  • Previous sales experience in a high growth or established software vendor. Experience in the Manufacturing, CAD and/or PLM space will be considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills 
  • Innovative and able to quickly adapt
  • Dynamic personality and persuasive mentality 
  • Good organizational and negotiation skills
  • Self starter and results driven


CoLab is a collaborative design review and issue tracking platform for engineering teams and their supply chains. Think Jira + the Pull Request process, but specifically built into 3D models for Mechanical Engineering teams. Our current focus is helping teams shorten design cycles, eliminate painful manual processes and tools (spreadsheets/slideshows) and catch issues before they become expensive changes. In the future we will become the Atlassian for Manufacturing and set the new standard for engineering collaboration
